Pupil Premium is additional funding which is allocated to schools for supporting specific groups of children who may be vulnerable to possible underachievement. Qualifying pupils are currently those who have been in receipt of free school meals at any point in the last 6 years, those who are currently or who have been previously looked after by the local authority and the children of armed forces personnel.
We aim to use our Pupil Premium Funding to provide targeted additional support strategies which will result in these pupils; improving their levels of attainment and progress, closing the attainment gap between these pupils and non-Pupil Premium pupils, having full access to the curriculum and accessing extra-curricular activities and school trips.
